The UK Department for Transport which is formally promoting the Crossrail hole Bill in the British parliament, showed new signs of severe strain and management and organisational fatigue within the Department this week. Loud and unconcealed signs of deep unease being felt in the Crossrail hole Bill team in the Department came over in a series of communications that was initiated this week by Khoodeelaar! organiser Muhammad Haque and as the Khoodeelaar! court action date got nearer. The CrossRail team was feeling particular pressure this past week, as confirmed by confidential sources to KHOODEELAARonline late on Friday 18 August 2006. Due to the Khoodeelaar! legal action programme aimed at forcing the Department to scrap the remainder of the Crossrail hole plot against the East End, the entire team briefed to plug the sham project has been suffering unprecedented strain this past fortnight. The atmosphere got tenser this week when Khoodeelaar! began serving the Crossrail company with the detailed particulars of claim. It is that company, full title 'Cross London rail Links Limited' [CLRL] that has been in charge of the sham scheme. Until this week, Khoodeelaar! did not issue the formal letter before claim in quite the detail that it commenced doing this past week. And the extents of the claim that Khoodeelaar! is proposing to make in court has given unprecedented anxieties being felt by the various agents and promoters inside both the CrossRail hole team [at the DfT] and the CrossRail company itself [CLRL]. It may be recalled that the former Minster heading the CrossRail hole Department [DfT], Alistair Darling, had been forced to stage a U-turn in March this year literally a day before Khoodeelaar! was set to file court claims against him in the London High Court. Tony Blair shifted Darling out of his Transport Ministry job shortly after Darling had to issue the written statement on 30 March 2006 admitting the truth in effect of every single criticism that Khoodeelaar had made about the CRASSrail DIRT hole in the Brick Lane and Whitechapel London E1 area. I was not able to find any evidence that that sum of public money would be used properly or for accountable purposes to benefit society. I thought that the money would be divided between looters who would use the 'CrossRail' pretexts to justify their loot. So I wrote to Alistair Darling. He did not answer the questions. In the past eight months, I have raised the same set of questions with Alistair Darling's successor in post, Douglas Alexander. As I have done with the Transport Ministry’s employees concerned with the crass Crossrail Bill project. None of them has answered the questions. Those questions have now been put to the CLRL company itself. They have been showing signs of being in denial about the questions. And I believe that the Khoodeelaar! campaign is within our constitutional, social and democratic rights to keep asking those questions. Why am I criticising the ‘Lawyer’ magazine [their web site publication] which has taken place ion the past 20 hours promoting CrossRail? For a start, my Opposition to the Crassrail project is based on two fundamental things that directly affect the fact and the extent of democracy that we can see in Britain. Is the crassly conceived Crossrail Bill being pushed through undemocratically? Are the people whose lives are affected by the Crassrail Bill able to exercise freedom of speech about what they will suffer if the CrossRail Bill goes through? This in turn takes the issue straight to the heart of whether we have a democratic, an accountable, parliament at work in Britain today. What is the mechanism whereby the people are able to exercise the freedom of speech when and where our lives are adversely and unjustly and unnecessarily affected by the behaviour of ‘the parliament’?Is it ‘parliament’ that is behaving in the given adverse way or is it the controlling clique in parliament that is doing so? If it is the latter – and it is the latter, on the facts thus far – then what is the justification for saying that there is ANY scrutiny by the people for the people OF the peoples’ parliament? And this takes me to the behaviour of those who ‘ought to know better’ than to blithely slavishly ‘report’ – when they are bothered at all to ‘report’ on parliament. The report I am now concerned about is not any report in any tabloid or tabloidised part of any allegedly quality newspaper or news outlet. I am talking about a publication that caters for the specialised market populated by those who ought to care about whether there is a constitutionally valid and justified parliament Or whether Parliament in Britain in the era of the Blaired degeneration nothing more than t collections or packs of poodles doing the routines at the behest of their given controlling unit. The key point about the Lawyer journal’s promotion of the crass Crossrail scam is that it, the Lawyer. does not show ANY recognition of the constitutional imperatives involved. In fact, the Lawyer shows contempt to the concept of constitutionality.
